Below is an overview of the tuition ‘The Music Studio’ provides. At ‘The Music Studio’, we have been developing the musical skills of local children and adults since 1987 and aim to provide the same convenient, quality service that has made us a leader in this discipline.

We offer tuition on the following instruments to children and adults from a first lesson to advanced, post grade eight, from qualified teachers. All tuition is one-to-one.

*Church organ lessons take place at St George's church New Mills

Tuition costs £16 for thirty minutes (from January 2024).

Pupils book a weekly appointment and we have to charge for missed lessons.

We close in all Derbyshire school holidays and, in addition,  allow three more weeks holiday for pupils to choose without charge provided one week's notice is given.

Lessons are available during the day and evenings. Each teacher creates their own unique programme, depending on their availability (teachers are part-time).

Theory and aural training can be taught in thirty minute periods as described above.
